MEET DONNIE
Donnie began his public speaking and entertainment career as a small
town radio DJ in East Tennessee. He later took his quick wit and unique
brand of humor and story telling to Armed Forces Radio and Television
and other commercial broadcasting outlets before finally landing in Music
City, USA. In recent years, he has performed as a stand-up comedian and
played Jack in a production of Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs.
When time permits, he also works as a public address announcer for
area college basketball, baseball, and softball games.
In July 2009, Donnie signed on to be the "voice" of The River Report, an
audio magazine chronicling the journey of the What About Blue kayak team
as they traveled down the Mississippi River. In 2010, through his
newly-formed company, 650 Productions, he has launched a website
called Towboat America.com. It's a unique site for towboaters, their
friends, and families.
As for niches, Donnie seems to have found one in the world of corporate
training. With a background in human resources, safety, and risk
management, he is uniquely qualified to teach and entertain. In his
words, "If your employees would rather watch paint dry than to hear the
topics on which you need to train them, then look no further - I'm you man!"
